Usually, the child suspected of having cancer is first carefully examined by the pediatric oncologist (this is a consultation similar to a general periodic consultation performed by the pediatrician in the usual way) .
Then follow the usual laboratory examinations, more complex laboratory examinations, imaging examinations, endoscopic examinations and, most importantly, the histopathological examination (for solid tumors or lymph node tumors – lymphomas) or medulogram (for leukemias).
